THE LAKA LIST: VOL. 2

THE LAKA LIST: VOL. 2

        1. LISA SAYS GAH PANTS  Ok these pants are what I picture I would be wearing as a mom back on the east coast had i still lived there. They say poolside cocktails and hors d'oeuvre’s like nobody’s business. Everything at Lisa Says Gah is basically how my mind works but in clothes. These. pants.
        2. THE DESIGNER GENESE CO  Crack your wellness code using DNA-based precision. No more guessing what might work, this field of wellness is using vital information that is native to our own DNA to help guide our sleep, nutrition, toxin exposure protocol, and stress. Your DNA is your unique blueprint and Lindsey Lekhraj can help you develop the most highly-curated regimen of micro and macro nutrients to support your wellness. It’s  time to really take wellness next level, if thats your vibe.
        3. CYMBIOTIKA MOLECULAR HYDROGEN | I used to own a Kangen water machine, solely for the abundance of molecular hydrogen. This is one of the strongest antioxidants known, and Cymbiotika makes it super easy to get it in daily with their new(ish) molecular hydrogen tablets. I used tanning beds, toxic tanning oils, and laid out for 4-6 hours daily most summers growing up. Huge lover of the sun always will be but I did it all wrong for a long time. Im hoping that massive antioxidants (hydrogen, matcha, mushrooms)  in my daily diet will assist in any repair.  Drop one into water a few times a week and ensure healthy cell protection. I also give some to my cats haha
        4. TAOU STUDIO, RICHMOND VA | This Carytown-based movement studio is a functional practitioners dream. They offer a variety of classes that truly invite a sense of awareness and intention into ones relationship to their body. Living in Richmond over the winter, I would visit TAOU when I wanted a guaranteed body-mind-spirit melt. If you’re in the VA area,  be sure to attend their LAKA matcha workshop at the end of June as they announce our newest retail partnership. I love TAOU and the ladies behind it all.
        5. MOMMUNES: Mommunes seem to be taking the globe by rightful storm. Being a mom is soooooo hard. Divvying up the ongoing tasks, bills, and duties between multiple single-mom households isn't untraditional, it's efficient, sustainable, and supportive. Struggling as a single mom? Start a 'Mommune'!
        6. HOLISTIC DENTISTRY: Wowwwwww, I’m convinced this summer is going to be all about dental health. Aside from trying to naturally reduce my teeth grinding by mindful caffeine consumption and reducing overall stress and anxiety in my life, I have been adopting a few other items into my summer soiree of holistic dentistry. (Fetch, right?) A few of my favorite items right now are Nadine Artemis angled electric toothbrush and tooth oil, Dr. tungs smart floss that expands while you floss, gum brushing for lymph flow (start from the cheek line and brush down to the tooth) and oil pulling (I prefer coconut).  I should prob be pulling  my tongue scraper out more often, but I am doing what I can.
        7. HAWAII PEEPS TIARE OIL  I am a big believer in moisturizing up whenever possible. I do moisture daily and have foregone perfume as of 2016 and I love that this oil doubles as both! I rub some onto my shoulders and chest before going to the beach or out for drinks and I feel like its such a grounding, refreshing scent to permeate spaces with. The flowers of Hawaii are soooo special.
        8. SEED DS-01 I’ve said it before and I will continue to say it, SEED is my absolute favorite, non-negotiable daily gut supplement. I notice that I eliminate really good 4-6 hours after taking. So whether you’re a morning or night pooper, time it so that your already synced schedule is magnified with the force we know as bacteria. Use code We’re a partner of Seed, use LAKASEED for 20% off your order.
        9. D MINDER APP: Regarding that childhood of junk-food-UV-exposure saga, D MINDER app is something I am looking to help me structure my sun exposure. This app allows you to plug in all your info and build out the perfect sun exposure protocol unique to you based on where you are. The sun is medicinal in the right doses and without it, we surely cannot thrive.
        10. RITUAL PROTEIN : This protein is so incredible and its the perfect amount of (sugar-free) sweetness. Two scoops blended with cashew milk will give you almost 50g protein. Protein is important! I do plant protein during the day and eat animals at night :) I’m still on the pregnancy/postpartum shake because choline is one of my faves, but they have 2 other proteins for 18+ or 50 years and older. MMMMMM PROTEIN.
        11. LAKA Shroom Drip™: Looking to up your fiber via fungal cell walls? Yeah me too, always. Mushrooms are an incredible source of immune modulators, brain oxygenators, and fat-soluble nutrients. We encase ours in luxurious macadamia butter, to deliver both function and flavor you cannot resist. Blend with coffee or matcha or drip from the jar!
        12. Lychee season on Kauai - There is nothing sweeter than the days spent peeling open these radically juicy bursts of whole vitamin C. If you have access to these spikey coral treasure chests of flavor, indulge! Whole Vitamin C is one of my favorite food supplements.
