WET DREAMS

"DID I JUST ORGASM IN MY SLEEP?" Yes, yes you did.

Wet dreams are real - and even more real for men. While women may only sharply recall orgasm upon waking up, men will literally have wet dreams. During our REM sleep cycle, the brain is technically on and the body can feel climax.

What happens when a woman is orgasming in her sleep? Researchers found that when a woman reaches climax while sleeping, her heart rate and breathing can almost double per minute with a party favor of increased vaginal blood flow.

Where does this start in the first place? While we are sleeping, especially in REM sleep, we have increase blood flow to the undercarriage regions - the sweet spots. For women, this is our entire yoni, but mostly our clitoris. This activation can send smoke signals to your brain that, if you're lucky, lead to sexual arousal.

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN. Research shows women can think themselves into orgasm. When we sleep, our prefrontal cortex is activated and all of the factors (self-consciousness, discomfort, anxiety, distraction) that play out when we are awake and trying to have sex basically don't exist. Our body is in full relaxation mode and feeling the experience.

The take away? When we orgasm, our whole brain lights up and is fully activated - promoting creativity, positivity, and good vibes. So whether or not you have real-life orgasms or....wet dreams haha....consider yourself orgasmified.
